Fikes Truck Line announces a new partnership with Compliance Safety Systems, a safety and compliance program specialist based in Midlothian, Texas that is helping establish a new roadside inspection monitoring and management program for Fikes. Through the new program, Fikes has access to consistent and relevant real-time data about their contract drivers and safety ratings, allowing them to address issues as they arise.

The new program utilizes Compliance Place, a proprietary CSA 2010 management system developed by Compliance Safety Systems that mines current MCMIS data and allows companies to be proactive about compliance.

Using this system, Fikes can:

  • Monitor their roadside inspection detail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
  • Receive immediate notification of a roadside inspection report that requires attention;
  • Get details on the BASIC affected and the corrective action required;
  • Manage corrective action and required response;
  • Maintain their driver files in a concise format and provide compliance reports;
  • Assign a specific driver or group of drivers to an outside auditor; and
  • Review scorecards by each BASIC as well as peer groups for comparison.

Fikes’ safety director Danny Watson says, “Compliance Place allows us to respond quickly and professionally to potential issues. We are also documenting our safety processes and can demonstrate compliance to the DOT and others who want to understand our safety program.” Gary Salisbury, Fikes’ president and CEO, adds, “Compliance Safety Systems was founded by David Saunders, a member of the CSA 2010 Taskforce. His company offers the most innovative program available to keep our fleet safe and our company CSA 2010-compliant. It sends a message to our customers and the motoring public that we are serious about safety.”
